Due to its small particle size, the fine dust in the dust of the boiler dust collector generally has a low charge in the high-voltage electric field of the electrostatic precipitator, and the driving speed of being adsorbed to the anode plate is also low, and it is difficult to capture. In addition, the electrostatic precipitator generates secondary dust due to rapping and cleaning, and some dust will return to the flue gas and be discharged from the precipitator. The bag filter removes dust by mechanical filtration of the filter material and the dust layer adsorbed on the filter material. Compared with electrostatic precipitators, the remarkable features of bag filters are mainly manifested in the following three aspects:

(1) Dust removal can reach more than 97% in practical applications, and the mass concentration of soot emission can be stably maintained below 50 mg/m 3. It is difficult for the electrostatic precipitator to capture sub-micron dust, and the bag filter can easily Collected from the ground, it also has a high capture rate for some heavy metals in the flue gas.

(2) Changes in boiler operating conditions or changes in the nature of dust due to changes in coal types will affect the dust removal efficiency of the electrostatic precipitator, but the bag filter is not sensitive to changes in these factors within the normal range .

(3) The dust filter bag is the heart of the bag filter. The protection of the filter bag is very important. It directly affects the normal operation of the bag filter and the service life of the filter bag.

The technology of the bag filter in coal-fired power plants is particularly ignited. The flue gas dust removal equipment of coal-fired power plants is not only an environmental protection equipment, a production equipment, and an important link in the entire coal-fired power generation process.
