Reasons affecting the life of filter bags

Reasons affecting the life of filter bags: improper use of filter bag varieties; filter bag quality; filter air speed; dust load; dust composition; dust characteristics; cleaning method; cleaning frequency; system startup and shutdown times; and related maintenance work.

1. After replacing the dust filter bag, blow it with compressed air first, and then check for any holes. After the holes are repaired, keep them for replacement. If the cloth bag is stuck with dust, rinse it with water, let it dry and save it for replacement.

2. Blockage of the bag filter. When the filter bag is clogged, the resistance can be expressed by the increase in the reading of the differential pressure gauge. Filter bag clogging is the main cause of the phenomenon of filter bag wear, perforation, and falling off. For the cause of the clogging of the dust filter bag, check and repair according to the following table. Generally, the following measures are taken:

 ①Temporarily strengthen the dust removal and block the dust filter bag;

②Change the filter bag partially or completely;

③Adjust the installation and operating conditions.

3. The aging of dust filter bag. Mainly due to the following reasons, it is necessary to investigate the cause, take measures and change the dust filter bag.

①It hardens and shrinks due to abnormal high temperature;

②Reacts due to contact with acid, alkali or solvent vapor;

③Reacts with moisture.

4. The needle filter felt should not be hung too loosely or tightly. Too loose and easy to accumulate dust, and too tight to be easily damaged.

5. The old filter bags of new technology should not be mixed to avoid the different damage time from affecting the normal operation of the dust removal equipment.
